Change What You Wear
Whether you’ve been on your weight loss program for awhile or just starting, it’s important that you consider getting rid of that old wardrobe and buying new clothes that show off your progress. The great thing about doing this is that even though we don’t feel like we’re losing a lot people around us will see the slightest changes if we are wearing clothes that fit our bodies better. And the nice thing about people noticing is that our confidence and commitment increase with each new compliment. Don’t go out and buy a bunch of new things because chances are we’re not at our goal weight yet. So buy a couple shirts and a couple pairs of jeans and see how it goes for you.
If you are struggling with what to buy use these tips:
- Buy vintage cut or style sweaters or shirts. This style will show off your arms and chest but will usually hang loose at the waist.
- Buy dark colors
- Vertical stripe clothing is a great way to look and feel slimmer and it also stretches you out making you feel taller.
- Guys buy boot cut jeans and girls buy jeans that show your curves but don’t feel like you’re running out of oxygen, also girls wearing guy cut jeans are in right now so try that as long as there not way bagging in the butt.
- Girls buy light cardigan sweaters or Boucle to make you look and feel sexy without showing many curves. V-necks, scoops, and off the shoulder styles are great ideas of what’s “in” right now.
You’re going to have to get out of your comfort zone a bit on this so go ahead and be brave. Take someone with you that has a sense of style and will be honest with you on how you look.
