Color Red = Weight Loss
Anywhere you go this week you will see great amounts of the color red. Whether it’s candy, hearts, balloons, roses they all are the color red this week in honor of Valentines Day on Sunday. So how can seeing all this red help us to lose weight?
There are a few ways.
- Make a small weight loss goal and then every time you see the color red, remind yourself of that goal. Have you ever put a penny in your shoe or worn an elastic on your wrist so you don’t forget something? Same thing. For example, say you make a goal to not snack on junk food between meals and you are at the store buying groceries. When you see the color red, remind yourself that you aren’t going to buy any snacks today because you don’t want them in your house. This should really help when you go reaching for the Valentines candy–they are all packaged in red! Reach those weight loss goals faster by reminding yourself what you are trying to accomplish.
- Pick a small routine that you can do every time you see the color red. A good example of this is when you see red flex your butt cheeks as hard as you can and hold for 10 seconds. Do this six times so it totals a minute. This will help you get a good tone to your backside–especially if you do it every time you see red.
- Wear the color red. How will this help us lose weight? Red has been known to signify power and assertiveness. Wearing red also makes you want to be more assertive and want to make things happen faster. Wearing red could give you the energy you need to get motivated to lose weight. You can go big by wearing a bright red shirt or just wear something small like this Sterling Silver Marcasite & Garnet Glass Heart Pendant (pictured above).
Take advantage of this Valentines Day to reach your weight loss goals.
